This sporty hatch is powered by either a 156-horsepower 2.0L DOHC CVVT 4-cylinder engine (EX) or a 173-horsepower 2.4L DOHC CVVT 4-cylinder engine (SX). These engines are paired with your choice of either the new 6-speed manual transmission or the new 6-speed automatic with Sportmatic shifting courtesy of available paddle shifters, neither of which was available in the 2010 Sedan and Koup models. | | A few new design changes make the 2011 Forte hatchback a much sportier ride than its Sedan and Koup counterparts. Vehicle height, width, and wheelbase all stay the same when compared to the sedan, but the Forte 5-Door's new hatch body style shaves seven inches off the Sedan's overall length. Also new to the design are a redesigned grille, redesigned fascia, new center console, and a lower valence design.
